4 Personalities At Work. Which Is Yours?

According to a new research published in Harvard Business Review, we all think about ‘how our personalities affect our loved ones’ life’. But, we never give a thought to when our professional life is taken into consideration.

Business Chemistry system researchers of Deloitte worked with anthropologist Helen Fisher and molecular biologist Lee Silver from Rutgers University to come up with the evident types of personalities at work and their behavior. This is an evident assessment because it was tested on 1,90,000 people and has been distributed in 3,000 different work sessions.

4 Types of Personalities At Work

1. Pioneer

PioneerPioneers are a very good example of leaders.

Characteristics: try innovative ideas, risk takers, insightful and dreams big

Drawbacks: overconfidence and impulsive nature

Suggestion: Listen to what people has to say as their opinion matters a lot

2. Driver

DriverCharacteristics: determined, stats and figures matter to them, supports logical thinking, doesn’t think about future outcome,

Drawbacks: can act impulsively

Suggestion: Do not act conclusive or take a new matter in your hands with any preparation and lack of prerequisite knowledge

3. Integrator

IntegratorAn integrator would think with the perspective of a fellow colleague.

Characteristics: tries to build morale, actively participate in having conversation with colleague and then drops the real intention of that little chat, avoids discussion and acts as a mediator

Drawbacks: pioneers and drivers try to boss integrator personality from time to time

Suggestion: Never let anybody overpower you professionally because you the unique quality of relationship building

4. Guardian

GuardianCharacteristics: wants everything to be perfect, they pre-plan, kind of introvert until satisfied

Drawback: easily dismisses several possibilities without giving any logical thought to it

Suggestion: Constantly remind yourself that your opinion matters.

All of these type of personalities at work are important to maintain the balance at the workplace. Identify your personality and work with a different personality for your personal and professional growth.
