The saying ‘taking the bull by its horns’ is an outcome of Greek mythology. It one of the 12 labors of Hercules that he had performed to repent of killing his family (his wife and his own children). It was happened because of Hera. She caused a fit of madness to Hercules. To repent, he saved the city of Crete from a raging bull by grabbing it by its horns.
2. Reason For Why Athena Defeated Poseidon
Athena and Poseidon wanted to become the guardian of the same city so to become the one, they gifted the residents of the city with something special. Poseidon gifted the city with salty water which was of no use. While Athena blesses the city with olive trees which were way too useful. And since then, the city is known as Athens.
3. Restored Virginity of Hera
Hera was the sister of Zeus, whom he married later. To charm Zeus, Hera got a love charm from Aphrodite. The interesting thing about Hera was that she was capable of restoring her virginity each year by bathing in the sacred spring of Kanathos.

Athena was supposed to have a thousand eyes in the form of olive trees that she has gifted to the residents of Athens. The leaves of the olive trees were grey at the back which seemed like eyes. And, when the wind blows the leaves, it appeared as thousands of eyes are guarding the whole city.
5. Pandora: The First Mortal Woman
According to Greek Mythology, Pandora was a creation of Zeus and was also considered as the first mortal woman. Pandora received a gift from every god. She also received a gift from Zeus’ brother, Prometheus. Zeus has already warned Pandora not to accept any gift from Prometheus. But she was enchanted with the beauty of the box gifted by Prometheus and as soon as she opened the box, she let out all the evil and mistrust in the world.
