I am sure you all know the feeling when you have this amazing weekend break and then comes Monday where you feel all stressed and lazy to return back to work. You should look at that face when its Friday because basically its party weekend or just the relaxing days, but as and when Sunday arrives you tend to feel anxious and Monday you are sleepy throughout the day and the day is just rough.
People tend to have this loss of freedom on Monday morning. According to Kim Chronister who is a psychologist says that, “People may even become anxious Sunday night. They have a taste of freedom on the weekend, and when Monday comes, the majority of people have a sense of mourning that usually lasts all day Monday.”
But, you need not worry, as there are some tips that can help you to boost your Monday and will help you get rid of that dreaded Monday morning blues.
Scroll through to read some of the tips…
1) Exercise Before Going To Work
Believe me this totally works. Doing workout before starting your day to work boosts up your mind for upto 12 hours and you don’t feel lazy also throughout the day. If not a workout try going for a walk atleast for 15 minutes.
2) Dress
They say that dress can boost up your confidence and it will also make you feel nice. When you wear something what you love, automatically you feel that positive energy and it also impacts on how you work. You will also feel good about your work day.
3) Talk And Share
If your Mondays are constantly depressing then you really need to sort and think whats happening with you. You need to think about your passion, your desires and your lifestyle. Maybe talking it out to someone would help you to re-evaluate yourself. Try finding a solution.
4) Jot Down Things That Makes You Happy
Making a gratitude list can always help you to boost your mind and will also reduce your chance of depression. According to reports, practicing gratitude increases feel-good hormones such as dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin. “This means that Monday blues can easily be beat by making a habit of listing out everything you are grateful for,” says Chronister.
5) At The End Of The Day Reward Yourself
This is the best way to motivate yourself to working. All you need to do is think of an amazing reward for yourself and think what you want to do on a Monday evening after work?! It can be anything. Dinner, Manicure, Pedicure, Massage or just a movie night! You deserve what you accomplished today, so start rewarding yourself. It gives you the motivation to perform even more better.
