Who does not always crave that perfect, acne/blemish/spot-free skin? There are only few lucky out there who are blessed with the perfect, baby-like skin miraculously. While others, they do have to work on that. And, trust me it isn’t any effort at all. All it takes for the daily skin care routine is less than 9 minutes of your time in the night before you retire for your essential beauty sleep.
Daily Skin Cleansing Routine
These steps are to be followed religiously with absolutely NO exceptions and within weeks you will have the skin that you have always fancied.
1. 2 Minutes – Removing Make-Up:
We cannot stress enough on this step. This should be by-far the most important step before you go to sleep. Even if you are a no-make-up person and only apply a kohl/Kajal or even only a Lip-Gloss, you HAVE to remove them even if the gloss has vanished.
Use a good Make-Up remover or Baby-Oil/Coconut oil for removing of traces of makeup. These very gently remove all those chemicals from your skin and allow them to breathe.
2. 1 Minute – Washing:
Washing your face with a mild face-wash is as important as removing the make-up. Makeup removers only remove the traces of the makeup and they don’t help in opening the pores of the skin that still has dust and various pollutants trapped. And don’t forget the Fresh feeling you get after you wash your face with water. So go and splash some cold water on your face.
3. 3 Minutes – Exfoliating:
You will be surprised by the difference that an exfoliation makes. You SHOULD exfoliate at-least every alternate day and thrice a week if you have a sensitive skin. Exfoliations helps in opening the pores further and thereby helps in removing all the deposited dust particles from deep within.
4. 1 Minute – Toning:
Toning your skin helps in tightening the pores that were cleansed during the Cleansing and exfoliating steps. This is important as toner not only closes the pores but also provides the anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties that help protect your skin against acne. It temporarily tightens your skin.
5. 30 Seconds – Moistening:
Take some Rose Water or Cucumber water in your palms and very gently dab onto your skin for a fresh feel and slight moistening of your skin.
6. 1 Minute –Moisturizing:
Moisturizing is as important for your skin as water is for you. Moisturizing helps in keeping the skin moist, plump and hydrated. It also helps in rejuvenating your skin. Do NOT ever forget to Moisturize your skin every time you wash your face. Apply moisturizer immediately after you moisten using Rose water/Cucumber water as it absorbs 3 times faster when applied on a moist skin. You can also apply Night-Creams instead of moisturizers.
