64th National Film Awards: Akshay Kumar Shines As Best Actor

The 64th National Film Awards has already been announced on this Friday, April 07, 2017.

This year’s National Awards has something new about it. This year online submissions were also included. And, the jury for this 64th National Film Awards was headed by the veteran director, Priyadarshan. Priyadarshan is very well known for his Bollywood films which include Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hera Pheri, Hulchul, Hungama, and a few others. His movies are a perfect combination of wholesome entertainment. He has won National Film Awards in 2007 for his Tamil film, Kanchivaram. He has also been honored with the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2012.

Priyadarshan talked about this opportunity and said that “It’s definitely an honor and a huge responsibility. I have close to 36 years of experience and have made 91 films, so I am hoping to put that to good use”.

9. Best Supporting Actor: Manoj Joshi for Dashakriya (Marathi)
