1. Massaging Besan (1 Tbsp.) with a pinch of turmeric powder and ½ Tbsp. powdered moong on damp skin for a minute and washing with cold water every day helps in getting rid of accumulated grime and cleans deeply.
2. Mix one cup of besan with some milk and rose water, juice of half a limeand a pinch of turmeric; scrub and apply this paste all over your damp body to get rid of all the dead cells and get glowing and nourished skin. Do this once a week regularly.
3. Mic 1:1 ratio of Besan and Oatmeal powder, add 2 tsp. honey and juice of half a lime and scrun this over your face to get rid of oiliness and clean the pores.
4. 1:4 ratio of fenugreek powder and besan when scrubbed on the face, especially on the T zone, will help in reducing blackheads visibly when done regularly twice a week.
5. Mix two tsp. of besan with a pinch of turmeric, a few drops of lime and curd to make a paste. Use raw milk if you have dry skin. Apply this pack on the tanned areas and leave it to dry. Wash with lukewarm water once it dries. Repeat once every week.
6. Mix besan with some rose water and fuller’s earth (multanimitti. Leave it on until it dries. Wash it off. Regular use will constrict pores and regulate the oil production.
7. Take a tsp of besan and equal amount of sandalwood powder and a pinch of turmeric. Make a thick paste by adding some raw milk. Apply this on the acne and pimples. Leave it until it dries. This mixture will soothe the irritated parts of the skin and have a drying effect on the acne and pimples. Wash off gently with water and tap dry. Repeated use will dry out the acne.
8. Mix besan with limeor besan with milk cream for dry skin or besan with curd for oily skin and apply over the face and neck. Wash off after it dries.
9. Mix together two tsp of besan with 1:1 ratio of turmeric and fenugreek powder and mix with rose water or water to make a paste and apply it on your face, arms and legs to get rid of unwanted hair. Scrub it off in the opposite direction of hair growth to retard the hair growth. . Repeated use will retard the hair growth.
