Acne or pimples is a common skin problem that affects people of all ages especially teenagers. Lack of sleep, stress, unhealthy eating and a hectic lifestyle are the key factors that cause acne.

Acne can appear not only on the face, but can also appear on chest, back and scalp. Although there are no definitive permanent cures, there are many simple and easy natural cures using common ingredients found in your kitchen

Home Remedies to get rid of Pimples

1. Oatmeal:
Oatmeal
it opens and cleanses your skin pores and exfoliates your skin. They also absorb excess oil there by making it one of the nest remedy for acne caused on oily skins.

– In a cup of cooked oatmeal, mix one teaspoon of honey and the juice of half a lemon
-Rub this mixture over your skin.
-Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.
-Do this once or twice a week.

2.    Fuller’s Earth

Fuller’s earth also known as multanimitti is very beneficial for greasy and acne-prone skin as it absorbs excess oil and unblocks the pores.
-Mix equal proportions of Fuller’s earth (multanimitti), rose water, and sandalwood powder.
-Apply this pack to your face evenly.
-Wash after it dries up or about 20 minutes..
-Repeat the process once a week.

3.    Lemon Juice

The acidity of lemons can be very useful in treating acne as it cleans out dirt that has amassed in the pores and hardens the sebum. Use it on your skin daily or twice or thrice a week.
-Gently rub a slice of lemon on acne and leave it for a few hours before rinsing your face with cold water.
-You can also mix lemon juice with rose water in 1:1 ratio and use the solution to wash the affected area thoroughly.

4.    Toothpaste

The is in-fact one of the easiest and most trusted home remedies for acne that almost every girl has used in her early teens and still uses even now.

Apply very small amount of white toothpaste on the affected area before going to bed. The toothpaste will reduce the redness and dry out the acne within a day or two.

Be sure to use only the opaque white toothpaste and not the gel ones that are commonly used, as they contain irritants that would irritate the skin and in turn increases the redness.

5.    Tea Tree Oil

Most preferred natural treatment for acne is applying a drop of tea tree oil on acne for about 3-4 times a day. Tea tree oil acts like an antiseptic and disinfects the pores.
If the use of undiluted tea tree oil causes skin irritation, redness, and over-drying then you can use 3- 5 percent solution of tea tree oil.

6.    Aloe-Vera gel:

The soothing and anti-inflammatory properties in aloe vera can treat acne or any other skin conditions in a matter of a few days. Aloe vera gel also heals the scar caused by acne.

7.    Green Tea:

Green tea has various antimicrobial and antioxidant compounds that help fight acne. Use a cup of green tea as a face wash or lay the bag over the affected area. Do this for about 3-4 days and you can see considerable difference in your acne.

8.    Honey
Honey
Honey’s antibiotic properties can help improve acne. Apply honey to affected areas, or apply it like a mask and let it work its magic for about 30 minutes. Wash with cold water. You can see miraculous results within 3 days.

9.    Calamine Lotion:

Cleanse your face properly and then wipe with an astringent or toner and apply calamine lotion liberally over the affected part. You will be amazed to see how miraculously this product works.
