Now new service of Viira cabs have been started, which are run by women, for women and drivers are well trained in martial arts and they armed with knives and pepper spray.
Driver Anita Manney, 35, told Barcroft media:before we used to feel unsafe but now after viira has taught us safety measures feeling safe.
It was started by 35 years old entrepreneur and social activist Preeti Sharma menon.
Before my salary was very low now my income is good – which makes lot difference say cab driver Raju chergat.
I am independent I not under any ones dominance, I am now in a stage that I can take care of my house hold.

“So when that happens I don’t want to randomly take a car with all equipment. I’d rather get someone with whom I feel comfortable.”
