Marriage is as old as humanity – from the source of acquiring lands and property to a joint tax return or in some cases, exemption from paying taxes to an official institution and a necessity. The meaning of marriage has evolved over time, especially due to the effect of industrialization, urbanization and enlightenment. Marriage has really evolved over time and now it has a completely different meaning than what it had couple of centuries ago.
