There are many family Heirlooms that are passed on through generations- which are priceless. Then there are such heirlooms which have many emotions attached to it. One such family heirloom is this wedding dress- which has been passed on through generations!
And its not only the wedding dress- also the wedding date! Sarah got married on the same day as that of the mother and father and also her Grandmother and Granddad!
Sarah’s mom mentioned that she had her grandmother’s old wedding dress, a dress that she too had worn on her wedding day. There was no obligation for her to wear it, but Sarah wanted to at least try it on to see how it fit.
“She brought it down for me to look at, with no obligation to wear it if I didn’t want to,” Sarah says. “As soon as I put it on and held the veil onto the back of my head, I knew that I wouldn’t be trying on any other dresses. It fit perfectly, and Mum looked so happy when she saw me in it. I was sure the dress would bring me a lifelong and happy marriage, like my grandmother and my mother before me.”
