Many people who are on the verge of applying make up for the first time are intimidated and confused. Don’t fret. So was I, once upon a time! It only takes a matter of few days or few weeks to master make-up application. It’s not that tough- All you need is confidence, patience and stable hands! Don’t worry; you can work on your unstable hands
Applying Make-Up
.Always cleanse your skin before applying any make-up. It’s Rule No. 1.
.Start with a moisturizer. It’s SUPER important to help moisturize the skin and make it soft and supple. But it also helps in smoother gliding of the concealer.
.Apply concealer only on the places where you need them. Do NOT apply concealer all over your face. Concealers are applied in the under eye areas for concealing the dark circles and blemishes. Try a creamy formula in a shade that matches your skin tone. Apply in little stripes with a pointed concealer brush, and then blend using your ring finger for the lightest touch.
.Apply foundation that matches your skin tone. Do NOT buy the one that is a shade lighter than your skin. It’s going to give your skin a fake look. For better results use a foundation brush. The brush will help the perfect manoeuvre required for the seamless application of the foundation without making it flaky.
.Apply a compact on the face for that even toned look. Try applying the compact with a powder brush as well. Just a little bit of powder brushed all over the face.
.Now apply a thin layer of eye-shadow onto your lids. Just remember- start with small quantities. You can always add more later, but once you add more and then decide it is too much, you will have to remove the whole lot of it. So always go with small quantities.
.Curl your eye-lashes using eye-lash curler. Apply Mascara and let it dry for about a minute.
.Apply the eye-liner. If you have a steady hands you can opt for liquid or gel based liners but if your hands are shaky, its better you stick with pencil liners. You can then gradually go for liquid liners when you start getting the stability. Always draw small strokes, and then join these strokes. This will minimize the errors while application.
.Now, take a little quantity of blush powder on the blush brush, tap a little to remove the excess and apply on your cheekbones. If the blush you are using is a cream based one, then you can easily blend them using your fingers. But while using the powder based blush, always use the brush. Always remember- you can always apply more later; take small quantity and then work up on the intensity!
.Now apply the lipstick and if you are aiming for a glossier look then dab on some gloss as well.
