Phaedrus, way back in A.D. said that things are not always what they seem; outward form deceives many; rare is the mind that discerns what is carefully concealed within. This holds very true in this present age. Outward form may be beautiful or even scary, but the reality could be quite different. Medusa, she seems frightening- but there is no good, happy or evil within her- there is only sorrow-ness.
Very aptly said, Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
