Written, directed and produced by Georges Méliès in 1902 is a French silent film, inspired by Jules Verne’s novels- From the Earth to the Moon & Around the Moon. Being an international success, the movie was broadly pirated internationally. It was “rediscovered” and it original hand colored print was re-stored in 2011.
When 6 brave astronauts from the Astronomic club along with it’s president embark on a journey toward moon, in a space capsule with a bullet, and landing safely, they meet a group of Selenites, who capture the astronauts and take them to their king.
