Apple Chutney is a refreshing and delightful change from the regular apple sauce or the tangy mango chutney. It can be used with sandwiches, cakes, porks, turkey, and also with the pokoras or parathas instead of using regular chutneys.
Read on to know how to prepare this delicious chutney with a twist:
Recipe:
1 cup white wine
1 inches fresh ginger root,
1 onion,
½ cup brown sugar
½ tsp. cardamom
½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. white pepper
¼ tsp. nutmeg
15 apples – peeled, and finely chopped
vinegar ½ cup
white sugar
Recipe:
In a saucepan, add sugar- brown and white, vinegar and little water, and let it heat.
To this, mix the apples, onion, ginger, cinnamon, white pepper, cardamom, and nutmeg.
Bring to a boil, and cover, simmer 30 minutes until the apples are tender.
Mix in some water if necessary.
Remove the onion and ginger from the mix, and store in the refrigerator.
