‘ReActor’ , the latest experimental series of ‘social relationship architecture’ designed and built by Alex  Schweder and Ward Shelley, who lived for five days in the rotating house, located in upstate New York.
rotating-reactor-house1The  ReActor  measures 44-foot X 8-foot (13.4 x 2.4m) and rotates 360-degrees atop a 15-foot concrete column. The house also tilts in response to the inhabitant’s movements. The symmetrical timber structure has been divided in half; with each artist allocated their own living quarters and a shared bathroom is positioned at the centre of the plan.
rotating-reactor-house2Floor-to-ceiling glazing however, provides little privacy, while the design also includes two external balconies — one for each artist at each end of the structure
