A twitter user very aptly said on the mounting tensions between the neighbouring nations, “India and Pakistan are divided by terrorism and cricket but are united by hot chai wala. Funny but true.”
A hot chai wala, instantly became an internet sensation with women in both the nations gushing over his brooding looks, striking blue eyes and melt-in-the-mouth-chocolate type of hotness. Arshad Khan, who works as a tea seller at the Itwar bazaar (Sunday bazaar) at Islamabad became a trend in both, India and Pakistan because of an instagram post by aspiring photographer Jiah Ali, which immediately went viral with the trend #chaiwala being among the top Twitter trends. Although, he was happy with his overnight popularity, but does gets irritated when people gather around him for pictures during working hours.
Due to his looks, he got a modelling contract and numerous others have been offered. He was invited for ‘Good Morning Pakistan’ and was given a makeover- which is sure to make all women go weak in their knees; He was made to wear a blue suit and then a blue sherwani, before giving his hair an amazing makeover.
