Yayy!! It’s Children’s Day again in India and this is one day, when one is always nostalgic about their childhood- how they used to dress up at their weird best and go to school for fancy dress competition and participate at numerous games conducted by school and most importantly it was a half day with absolutely no studies. Google India, continuing its tradition in children’s doodles has featured the doodle of its Doodle 4 Google contest on the Google India home page.
The doodle is created by a 11-year-old, Anvita Telang, a student from Vibgyor High School, Pune, who was announced as the national winner of the “Doodle 4 Google” contest on the theme “If I could teach anyone anything, it would be”.
In this 8th edition of Google’s annual Doodle 4 Google (D4G) competition, 12 doodles made by the kids across India were shortlisted and were evaluated on creativity, artistic merit, and theme and the unique approach to the Doodle.
Sapna Chadha, Head of Marketing with Google India released a statement, in which she said “With ‘Doodle 4 Google’ competition, we aim to promote creativity, passion and imagination in younger users. We congratulate Anvita for being judged as the winner this year.”
