Tokyo, the capital of Japan gets it’s annual share of snow in the months of January or February, but then for the first time in over a half century, the capital city snowed. It earlier snowed in November in the year 1962, so it definitely shocked the residents who were not expecting the snow till about for the next 2 months.
The snow slowed peak hour trains and the ground temperature remained above freezing which kept the snow from settling in most places, but it did gather on pavements and on car tops
The snow was a shock for many residents, as the temperatures reached 17degrees C 2 days ago, but then there was a steady decline throughout the day and by 6 AM on Thursday, it had dropped to a chilly 3C and then started raining, which by dawn, turned to snow.
It definitely was an amazing time for tourists & natives
It turned the pretty city into something breath-taking
