If, going green with envy meant turning greener than the Wicked Witch of West, from the Wizard of Oz, then I guess I must be the Wickedest Witch- turned greener than the envy green- The reason? Harry Potter & the Hobbit is to be included in the English syllabus of the ICSE.
Yeah! And we aren’t kidding!
Its not only Harry Potter, but also Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot, Hobbit, Amar Chitra Katha, Tintin, Asterix comics and Art Spiegelman’s Maus, Feluda, G Wodehouse and Charles Dickens’ classics besides autobiographies of Anne Frank, Malala Yusufazai, APJ Abdul Kalam also are being added for the middle school and secondary school.
And, no that’s not all- How can lower classes be forgotten? Kids are all set to enjoy their English classes with Enid Blyton’s Noddy series. Whoa!! How cool is that?
This actually makes me go so green with envy, that I can hardly sit at my desk. . All I want is to go back to school!!
