‘Kuchipudi’,a form of classical dance, with its roots in Andhra Pradesh has found a that place in the Guinness Book of World Records after 6,117 dancers came together to present a show at the convention at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada. The “Maha Brunda Natyam” was organised as part of the ‘5th International Kuchipudi Dance Convention’ which saw dancers from across the country, apart from dancers, who came all the way from US, UAE, UK, Russia, Hong Kong and Mauritius.
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed,”This feat is an inspiration to the younger generations and helps them master the art as these traditions and culture have to be carried to the future generations to protect our identity.”
