To be precise, initially, the national anthem of India was written in the honor of King George V and the Queen of England. The song was written when the honorary guests came to visit India in 1911.

To-begin-withPandit Motilal Nehru was keen to honor the guests and that is why he included five stanzas in the praise of King George V and the Queen of England. But unfortunately, most of us thinks that our national anthem depicts the praise of our motherland.
