This year’s Brit Awards took place on February 22nd at The O2 in London. This was the 37th edition of the Brits (British Phonographic Industry’s annual pop music awards) which was hosted by the former model Emma Willis and Dermot O’Leary. This was the first time when the Brits nominations were broadcast live on air. Emma Willis was the host of ‘The BRITs Are Coming’, a live show which held on January 14, 2017, to reveal the nominees of this year’s Brits.
Brit Awards 2017 was set to be hosted by Michael Bublé, a Canadian singer, but he opted out on January 18th, 2017 due to son’s liver cancer. Michael is determined to focus on his son’s recovery.
It was January 31st when the confirmation of the hosts was surfaced. The digital presenter of this year’s BRITs was Caspar Lee. And, the red carpet with backstage coverage were done by Alice Levine, Clara Amfo and, Laura Jackson on ITV2.
The center of attraction of the awards was Chris Martin (the lead vocalist of British rock band, Coldplay) sang ‘A Different Corner’ in tribute to George Michael. There were other stunning performances also.

* Little Mix performed on their popular ‘Shout Out to My Ex’.
* Bruno Mars performed on his latest track ‘That’s What I Like’.
* Emeli Sandé, the Scottish recording artist, performed her last year’s song ‘Hurts’.
* The 1975 performed ‘The Sound’.
* Katy Perry performed with Skip Marley, a Jamaican singer, on their latest track ‘Chained to the Rhythm’.
* The duo The Chainsmokers and Coldplay performed for the first time on their song ‘Something Just Like This’.
* Ed Sheeran performed his two tracks ‘Castle on the Hill’ and ‘Shape of You’ with Stormzy.
* The winner of the Brits Icon Award, Robbie Williams performed three of his compositions which included ‘The Heavy Entertainment Show’, ‘Love My Life’, and ‘Mixed Signals’.
