With the announcement of demonetization by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of old 500rs and 1000 rs notes in the month of December last year, the Reserve Bank of India also said that in the coming years they will introduce new 20 rs and 50 rs notes with numerals in ascending size in the number panels without intaglio printing.
It seems that the wait is finally over, and the RBI is keeping their promise of introducing new notes. It has been rumored that the photo of the new 50 rs note has been printed already and the RBI is yet to issue them.
Looking at the picture, the new currency notes features the Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005 and will bear the signature of current RBI Governor Urjit Patel. “The Reserve Bank will shortly issue Rs 50 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005, without inset letter in both the number panels, bearing signature of Dr Urjit R Patel, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, and the year of printing ‘2016’ printed on the reverse of the banknote,” Urjit Patel had stated last year.
There is still no official notice regarding these pictures that have been posted and are going viral. It is difficult to believe, whether it is really the new Rs 50 note or yet another rumour that is going viral on social networking sites to grab audience attention!. A year ago, RBI had said that the plan and security components of the new notes will be like the old delicate, which will proceed available for use.
