One of the most shocking incident took place on Tuesday evening as, Senior writer, editorial manager and extremist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead by unidentified attackers at her doorstep in Bengaluru West. Four slugs pierced through the 55-year-old’s chest, and she was discovered lying in a pool of blood after she ventured outside her auto and flung open the doors of her home at around 8pm.

Known for her brave and straightforward state of mind, the editorial manager of Kannada week by week Lankesh Patrike had been sentenced in a maligning case documented by BJP MP Prahlad Joshi over a report distributed in her paper for a half year. In any case, she was out on safeguard. The 2008 article affirmed that Joshi was associated with debasement and murder.
