Dos and don’ts while dining with guests at a restaurant
1.Dress up nicely
Prefer formal dresses
2.Don’t put your unnecessary things(mobile, purse) on the table
It distracts your other dining partners
3.Let your guest order first
‘You first’ is a good manner
4.Don’t tell the sommelier how much you want to spend on wine
Instead point to a wine in your price range, they will know and stick to within that price.
5.Do know where to place your napkin
While eating place the napkin on your lap.
6.Don’t reach across the table to taste your companion’s food
Until unless he/she is your buddy
7.Don’t yell at waiter
Raise the index finger of your right hand to draw the attention of waiter
8.Send back the food that is not cooked properly
9.Order the same number of courses as your companion
This avoids awkwardness and allows you to pace yourself with other person
10.Don’t place the utensils on side of your plate when you are done eating.
