As far back as uncovering her lupus finding in 2015, Selena Gomez has been forthright about the effect the immune system infection has had on her well-being, profession and personal satisfaction.
In any case, she made it one stride advance early Thursday morning when she uncovered on Instagram that she had gotten a kidney transplant as a component of her progressing treatment clarifying, “So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health.”
She therefore confirmed this news of getting a transplant done to the associated press. The donor is actually her beautiful close friend and it is actually heart warming to see such greatness in friendship! This is the perfect example of friendship and the bond that these two beautiful souls share is commendable.
On her Instagram post, Selena Gomez shared a picture with her friend where she captions it saying, “I’m very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn’t promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of. So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health. I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery. And finally, there aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa. She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis. Lupus continues to be very misunderstood but progress is being made.”

Many of her fans also sent her messages on social media asking her where she was and she revealed it through an Instagram post, that she experienced a kidney transplant due to the infection.
