Arvind Kejriwal’s Biopic: Insignificant Man Teaser Is Out!

You may have seen many biographical films on celebrities and other famous personalities as well, but have you ever heard of a politician having a biopic?!

Well, its true that there is a biographical film on Arvind Kejriwal that is all set to release on November 17th this year. American media organization Vice is set to launch “An Insignificant Man” a personal film on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The film is directed by Khushboo Ranka and Vinay Shukla, “An Insignificant Man” is a true to life political thriller that annals the rise of Kejriwal from a social lobbyist to a politician.

Naming it as a ‘masterpiece’ Vice has declared that it will now band together with maker Anand Gandhi’s Memesys Lab in releasing the film broadly, in India and globally.

“I first saw ‘An Insignificant Man’ at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016, and I came away thinking it was the best documentary about street-level politics since Marshall Curry’s ‘Street Fight’,”Jason Mojica, Executive Producer, Vice Documentary Films, said in an announcement.

The film had bolted horns with the Central Board of Film Certification, under the previous CM Pahlaj Nihalani. He had requested that the movie producers get a no-protest endorsement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, previous Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit and Kejriwal himself, to get a green signal for the release of the film.

At last, the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal cleared the film.

“We at Vice closely followed the filmmakers and the censorship battle over the film over the past few months. Vice will always champions independent filmmakers fighting for freedom of expression,” said Mojica.

“We’re bringing ‘An Insignificant Man’ to our audience around the world because we think it’s a highly relevant film for anyone who sees problems in their own political systems and has the impulse to get personally involved in trying to change things.

In spite of the fact that the terms of the arrangement weren’t unveiled, the obtaining implies the film will be appeared in more than 22 nations in theaters, on TV and carefully.
