Many of us are still devastated by Chester Bennington’s death and we still miss him, as he was one of the most amazing singers and Linkin Park was the heart and soul of Music! Many people still grieve about it but, his closest friends and band members honored him by launching a new song ‘ looking for an answer’ giving him a tribute and remembering him on the special occasion.
The band’s lead singer passed away in July at 41 years old by taking his own life. His bandmates held a commemoration show in his respect at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl the previous evening.
‘Looking For An Answer’ was debuted at the commemoration show to pay tribute to the late frontman in LA the previous evening (October 27). Mike Shinoda sung this song and gave a solo performance for it as it was written in tribute to Chester Bennington.
During the show, Shinoda debuted the tribute song, ‘Looking For An Answer’, which saw him performing solo. It’s opening verse started:“There’s an emptiness tonight that wasn’t’ there before/And I keep reaching for the light/I can’t find it anymore.”
Afterward, the ensemble saw Shinoda sing: “Was I searching for an answer when there never truly was one?”
The show stamped Linkin Park’s first since Bennington’s passing. They were joined for the duration of the night by Blink-182, Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, System Of A Down and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
After the band performed ‘In the end’ with fans assuming control vocal obligations, Bennington’s wife Talinda gave a speech recalling her late spouse and adulating his life, vocation and Linkin Park fans over the world, including: “It is time that we recognized that mental health is as important as our physical health. It is my mission to make it easier for people to have access to mental health resources.”
Shinoda said he’d composed his new tune “Looking for an Answer,” for which he went with himself on piano eight days after Bennington’s passing. He discussed the part of music in helping him get past the misfortune. He additionally addressed one of the principle inquiries of this night: Where might Linkin Park go from here? He said even they don’t have the foggiest idea. “I don’t have a clue about what’s going to occur with this tune,” he said. “On the off chance that we do proceed with, I need to expand on this.”
The melody’s verses incorporate the lines, “Was there something I could say or I should not have done?,” and “I’m just sitting in the dark, disbelief this is real.”
The song is simply beautiful, soul touching and heartbreaking. It will really make you cry and all the Linkin Park fans will surely love it!
