While the captured officer, Safeer Karim, was gotten in Chennai by authorities, his wife Joicy Joy was also arrested by Hyderabad police from an instructing focus in Ashok Nagar for helping her husband cheat in the exam.

The arrested student IPS officer, a right hand administrator of police on post trial supervision in Nanguneri subdivision of Tirunelveli, carried a mobile phone and Bluetooth-empowered earpieces into the examination hall in Presidency Girls Higher Secondary School For Girls, Egmore.

Police said that Rambabu and Karim have been friends from their days in Delhi when they were getting ready for UPSC exam together.
