Have you ever seen an angry mob attack on animals? Well, the world is not anymore a better place to live in and with the amount of crimes increasing, humans are day by day becoming out of control and it is disturbing to see such hideous things done by them.
Not only that, even animals are treated so bad and are harmed which makes it difficult for them to live and survive. If there is a small noise also these animals are disturbed and they fear to come out even if they are staying in abandoned forest.
Apparently, a photograph was taken showing an elephant and a calf running as the angry mob tar crackers and firebombs wins the Wildlife Photography Award for 2017 which was held by Sanctuary Asia Wildlife Magazine.
This heart sobbing picture will actually make you cringe. The photograph taken was captioned, “Hell Is Here” and I must say that it has been aptly titled. It was taken by a brick kiln owner Biplab Hazra in Bankura District in West Bengal.
While describing the horrifying incident , The Sanctuary Nature Foundation stated saying,”In the Bankura district of West Bengal this sort of humiliation of pachyderms is routine, as it is in the other elephant-range states of Assam, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and more.” the calf “somehow survived” the attack. Crackers are burst and fires raged to ward off the herds, he said.
According to the Indian Express reports Biplap further explained about what had happened, to that he said,”The calf may not have been intentionally set on fire by the villagers living in the vicinity of the elephant corridor that stretches from southwestern West Bengal up to Saranda forest in Jharkhand, but bursting crackers and throwing fireballs on elephant herds has been a common practice in this part of West Bengal.”
In the picture you can see the calf running behind the mother elephant as they try to fight the flames and you can also see people creating a disturbing environment as there is so much chaos.
In their note, the foundation while applauding the photo of the year said, “India is the “global stronghold” for the Asian elephant, with over 70 percent of the species’ global population residing in a handful of Indian states. But, vital elephant habitats and routes continue to be ravaged, and human-elephant conflict escalates to a fatal degree. “The ignorance and bloodlust of mobs that attack herds for fun, is compounded by the plight of those that actually suffer damage to land, life and property by wandering elephants and the utter indifference of the central and state government to recognize the crisis that is at hand,” it said in the accompanying note.
Wishing Biplap Hazra a hearty congratulations on receiving the best wildlife photographer award for 2017.

It is high time we realise this planet belongs equally to all.
Please understand this before it is too late.
It is time to realise and respect the thought of "equality of existence and not just human beings"An against capital punishment but these acts make me re think.
