Dog’s are man’s best friend and when you welcome them into your life, they are super loyal to you and you are their world! But, did you even know that dogs too have a heart? Yes, they do feel pain and they too face depression. This is the story of Nube Viajera ( traveling cloud) a poor dog who died due to a broken heart because her owner dumped her at the airport and left her there.
Yes, it is a tragic story to read. This loyal dog was roaming about for a month at the airport terminal and when the veteranians from animal shelter came to help it was too late because Nube was taking her last breath and gave up her life.
Apparently, she was dumped by her owner at the airport and after that the dog went on searching for its owner and spent days at the airport. People even offered food but she stopped responding to the treatment and food as well. The owner is believed to have flown on the flight the day she left the dog at the airport.
It is a poor thing to see such a beautiful dog left astray to die. Some of the witnesses say that the dog stopped searching for the owner after some time and could barely walk! So the dog sat in one corner and spent the last days of her life grieving. The vets who checked the dog reported that the cause of death was due to “depression.”
According to the doctors, the dog was not more than 2 years old and she was of normal weight and did not have any illness. It just her broken heart that led to her death. This incident is said to have taken place at the Palonegro airport near Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Some of the people said that the dog had been seen walking in a hurry and sniffing people at the airport as if she was looking for something or someone. Dr Sotomonte said: “It is presumed that she had an owner and a home and that they abandoned her because the dog never left the airport.”
He further states that, “The dog’s health deteriorated in a matter of 48 hours, even though we gave her food and medicine via intravenous injection. “She fell into sadness and depression and did not survive.”
Heart-wrenching story it is and I wish this should never happen with any other pet. Guys, its a request to love and respect your pets because for them you are everything. Don’t be insensitive towards them, because they too deserve to be loved.
