Ice Cream and dairy products, Juices and soft drinks are hit among the people mostly in hot weather. But this time it seems a low business for the makers due to unseasonal rain in March and April.
The manufacturers are taken aback as summer has not covered in many parts of the country, resulting in a drooping business.
Mother Dairy and Vadilal are keeping an update on weather conditions to plan production of ice cream and dairy products when the season becomes hot.
While Real and Fruits Up juice maker are hoping for a good sale once scorching sun shows it sweltering effect. The unpredictable weather has also affected the production of mangoes, grapes and other horticulture products that are used for concentrated juice.
As per Rajesh Gandhi, Managing Director of Vadilal Industries, sales of ice cream have gone down by 10% compared to previous year in March.
