Do you know Kamal Hassan’s ‘Uttama Villain’ Theyyam look?

Yet to be released Kamal Hassan’s “Uttama Villain” is believed to be a grand display of cultural performance.  The trailer of the film shows fine description of one of the Indian traditional dance form i.e Theyyam. Here are some of interesting facts of this dance form

It is a pure tribal form of ritual that sees its origination back 2000 years ago.

Unlike other dance forms, eyes and hand gesture play an important role to convey the act.

The head-gear, costume and makeup, is what matters a lot to represent an artist.

The makeup materials usually are usually organic like rice flour (white color), vermilion (red color) and soot (black color).

The costumes of Theyyam are made out of cutting and painting coconut sheaths and needs a painstaking 10-36 hours to complete it.
