A mystical, mythical, or legendary creature is a creature from mythology or folklore, having supernatural powers, which even in contemporary times have no physical explanation. In these cases the creatures bear more similarity to such as angels. Often legendary creatures came to symbolize vices or virtues, or the power of good or evil.
Mythical Creatures:
Dragons
Typically, depicted as a large and powerful reptile it has magical or spiritual qualities, the most famous being the ability to breathe fire from their mouths. More often than not, dragons were considered malevolent, associated with evil supernatural forces and the natural enemy of humanity.
Mermaids
Legendary aquatic creature with the upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids are known to be helpful and benevolent, forewarning the storms and floods and rescuing drowned sailors. Few have also reported them to be harmful causing shipwrecks and seducing young sailors and killing them for the mere joy of it.
Phoenix
Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. The phoenix could live over 1,400 years before rebirth. They are considered having magical abilities and can carry loads of strength and their tears are considered to be magical as they can heal any wounds.
Sphinx
A mythical creature, with the head of a human and the body of a lion. In Greek tradition, it has the head of a human, the haunches of a lion, and sometimes the wings of a bird. They are quite (in)famous for their love of riddles. If passed the riddle test, the person is allowed to enter, but if failed, Sphinx eats you.
Unicorn
The most gentle, beautiful and lovable mystical creature, with the body of a horse with a single horn projecting from its forehead. They are known to heal all kinds of sickness, and also save you even when you are an inch from death.
