It’s not new for anyone to receive lewd messages on phones, and social media; but what is being done to counter act towards it? Blocking the numbers! But when it crosses the limit, then? Lodging a police complaint! But when cops don’t help and rather start questioning the woman’s character- then? Then the only way to get these cops to work is to tweet to HRD Minister Smriti Irani. Needless to say, she took the matters into her own hands and the response was QUICK!
A woman on Quora, Bhumika Shah, shared her story about how a single tweet saved 50 women from being harasses by a psychopath. Bhumika, a college professor, was stunned when she discovered her colleague has been receiving filthy messages from a guy on her personal number. The man would send at least 20 messages in a day and spam her inbox with lewd messages. Needless to say, Bhumika’s colleague blocked him. But it only got worse. He started sending her morphed pictures of herself on lewd images. That’s when Bhumika urged the lady to lodge a formal police complaint, the woman was shunned away by the cops and they also questioned her character. It was then that she tweeted to HRD Minister, Smriti Irani.
After, she got a reply- she shared the details she had and within 2 HOURS, She announced that the psychopath has been arrested.
