Summer is here and so are MANGOES! Mangoes are the ever-favourite of everyone throughout tropics; As summer approaches, the only thing in everyone’s minds are mangoes. In India, especially north, Aam panna is a popular tangy summer cooler and is a great remedy for heat stroke and dehydration.
Ingredients:
3 medium green raw mangoes
1 cup Sugar
1 tbsp. roasted cumin powder
Black salt
Salt
2 cup water
1 tbsp. Mint paste (optional)
Ice crushed
Recipe:
Boil/ Pressure cook mangoes till soft and let them cool.
Peel the mangoes and get the pulp. grind mango pulp along with water to a smooth paste.
Add sugar into the paste and mix 2 cups water to completely dissolve the sugar while stirring continuously.
Add roasted cumin powder, black salt and salt.
Let this mixture cool down properly.
You can alternatively also add the paste of mint leaves.
Take a tall glass pour 1 -2 tbsp. of the mixture and pour in chilled water.
Garnish with mint leaves and serve immediately.
