Talking at the great audio launch of the film in Dubai, Akshay had stated, “Rajini sir is the genuine genius. I might want to say thanks to Shankar sir for giving me the chance of working with a legend like Rajinikanth. I could’ve never envisioned that I will get an opportunity to work in such a major and expensive film like 2.0,” Akshay likewise included, “I have done 130 movies (in Bollywood). 2.0 was my 131st film. I can just say that amid the making of those 130 movies, I got the opportunity to gain little from each film, yet I was learning all through the shooting of this film.”
The film is scheduled to hit the silver screens during the Republic weekend in January 2018.
