Day 2 of AICW 2015 saw collections of Gaurav Gupta and Rahul Mishra. Gupta’s collection was primarily for Indian brides while Mishra’s designs’ was aimed at pushing the craftsmanship by going with lots of hand-embroidered floral patterns.
Gupta’s designs were cited as “Silt and Cipher” and ranged from sari gowns – tucked, draped and corseted to sari-lehengas and flouncy gowns to sexy sheer panelled dresses. Centered on the theme of an enchanted forest, the ensembles criss-crossed an artistic display in dreamy and affluence shades like champagne, white, gold, beige, midnight blue, and a deep oxblood hue. Low-cut sexy backs and plummeting necklines stayed true to Gaurav’sproclivity to push the precincts and add a strong dose of sex appeal.
