Youth, often feel that finding a job presents a formidable challenge but these days finding a job they like may be an even greater challenge. The poll commissioned by Generation Opportunity, a non-partisan organization that implores the opinions of young adults highlights the challenges that various young job seekers face in today’s times.
Youth feels a discontinuation between what they are taught and what they need tomorrow. They are mostly dissatisfied with this discontinuation between their education and the returns they get while being employed. “The unemployment numbers are concerned when you consider that 43% of young adults who are not satisfied with their current level of employment,” Paul T. Conway, Generation Opportunity president, said in a statement.
To develop the satisfaction among the next generation, young people and educational leaders must come together to identify and brainstorm on how they can channel the gap, taking into account the more steadily integrated youth opinion into decision making processes. Youth around the world are not contented with the education that are being delivered in their educational institutions and are not able to connect it to their future goals. With the Youth depends on their friends and alumni rather than University advisors for their career plans, this is quite a serious issue as the students are gradually losing trust in the educational advisors.
