It was in the year 2011 when national level football and volleyball player, Arunima Sinha had a major setback. Arunima was thrown out by robbers from a running train near Bareilly which led to amputation of one of her leg. Even though with that one leg she dared to leave her dream!
On 21 May 2013, the Padma Shri awardee defying all her fear stood on top of the world. Her zeal to achieve the goal i.e to scale Mount Everest was such that she even ignored her sherpa’s advice. With low oxygen that was about to finish and one more turn left to reach the top of the Everest, her dogmatic behavior didn’t allow her to move back.
The scattered dead bodies lying on the way to the Everest scared everyone in the group and even Arunima was also scared. But she had made her mind to make it a success.
