Baahubali 2 got released on April 27 of this year. Ever since the movie is hunting down every possible record with each passing day. This highly star-studded movie is breaking one record after another. As we speak, the film has currently grossed a grand collection of 440 Cr from every medium and 565Cr from the Indian box offices.
This is the first time in India when a movie crossed the bar of 400 Cr in such a short span of period. The movie is a sequel of 2015’s Baahubali: The Beginning. The plot of the first movie was left on such a note that everyone eagerly waited for their questions to be answered. Baahubali: The Conclusion was the most anticipated movies of 2017 and its break recording speed is something which is not at all surprising.
The film has just been good in India but the movie has really worked well in the oversea circuits also. The paid previews of the movie lead the makers to bag the highest collections from the US-Canada circuits. This sequel has earned a handsome amount of 145 Cr from its overseas collection.
So, now, when the total net collection of this movie is considered, it becomes 710 Cr. And hence, the movie becomes the third highest grossing movie when the worldwide collection is taken into consideration. The first highest grossing film is Aamir Khan’s PK which earned 792 Cr and the on the second position, it is Aamir Khan’s Dangal with a generous collection of 742 Cr.
The speed breaking record of Baahubali 2 is suggesting that it will soon be able to break these two records also. Let us remind you that neither the craze nor the first week of the movie is completed yet. Also, there is no big-budget Bollywood movie is lined up to challenge the second week of Baahubali 2. After looking over the outstanding performance of the second installment of Baahubali franchise, one can easily estimate that the second week of the movie won’t disappoint the makers.
Just to remind you that ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ has earned 655 crores globally from its lifetime run. While ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ has crossed this benchmark in a mere span of 5 days.
Baahubali 2 is directed by S. S. Rajamouli and is featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Satyaraj, and Ramya Krishna. After the success of the two movies of the franchise, it is believed that the makers will come up with the third installment of the movie. It would be a treat to watch a spin-off or a prequel of this franchise.
