Indian sweets, are a delight to consume. One such sweet delight is Badam Halwa, a halwa prepared from soaked almonds. It is one such sweet that is loved by people of all ages.
Ingredients:
1 cup almonds- soaker for about 4-5 hours.
½ cup sugar
1 tsp. cardamom powder
¾ cup milk
3 tbsp. ghee
Few drops rose water
Recipe:
1. Soak almonds for about 4 hours, peel their skin.
2. Blend almonds, sugar, cardamom powder, with milk or water to make a smooth paste
3. In a non-stick pan, heat ghee, when it starts melting, add the ground paste and stir till it thickens completely, all the while adding slight milk and ghee.
4. When it reaches the desired consistency, remove from heat.
5. Garnish with roasted nuts and serve hot.
