Many of us cannot afford to go to parlour every other month for a regular facial could be due to time constraints or financial constraints. So with just about 30 minutes once a week or once in about 2 weeks we can definitely pamper our skin at the confines of our home.
Weekly Face Cleanup
1.Cleansing:
Importance of cleansing cannot be stressed. It helps in cleansing the dirt, oil and the pollutants that settle in the pores on our skin. Invest in a good, mild cleanser. If you have an acne-prone skin or oily skin then use a cleanser that has salicylic acid and if have dry skin, then use a cleanser that has high amounts of moisturization contents in them.
2.Scrubbing:
Scrubbing or exfoliating is very important as it removes dead skin cells completely and opens the pores which cause the easy removal of the impurities and pollutants. It’s important to exfoliate once or twice a week depending on your skin.
3.Face Mask:
Mask soothes repairs and revitalizes the skin. The effect differs from mask to mask. You can use herbal masks for de-tanning mask or Neem-turmeric mask for acne-prone skin, Rose mask for a refreshing and natural glowing skin to Turmeric, saffron mask for improving complexion after a mild tanning to synthetic masks for anti-ageing to skin firming. There are a whole range of masks available out there in shops or you can also buy them via online shopping.
4.Toning:
Toning the skin helps in closing all the pores and it temporarily tightens the skin. It has anti-microbial activity and hence is very effective against the bacteria causing pimples.
5.Moisturizing:
Moisturizing is a MUST. Whether you have a normal, dry, sensitive or even an oily skin. ALWAYS moisturize your skin. Moisturizer to your skin is what water is to your body. Your skin tends to get oily because the skin due to its natural mechanism tries overcoming the excessive dryness by secreting lots of oils. Hence to avoid secreting them, moisturization is vital.
