Mojito is usually a drink made with mint leaves, but this is a variation that is made with basil (Tulsi) leaves. It was refreshing and tasted divine! The Peppery taste of Basil sat very well with the tangy taste of citrus. They were complimenting each other in the drink.
How to make Basil Lemon Mojito
Ingredients:
1/4th Cup Basil leaves
3 Lemon wedged slices
Pinch of Sugar
Salt to taste
Soda/ Sparkling water
Crushed Ices
Recipe:
1. In a mortar and Pestle take the basil leaves and lemon slices, add pinch of sugar and salt to taste
2. Now, crush the ingredients with the mortar till their extracts start oozing out.
3. Take these lemon wedges and leaves and extracts in the glasses
4. Add few drops of lemon and crushed ices
5. Add chilled soda or sparkling water and serve immediately.
