1) Bagbazar
This is one of the oldest pandals in Kolkata that is set up since 100 years! The goddess is very beautifully decorated and there is also a small carnival with stalls for the crowd to visit and enjoy. This is located in north Kolkata and the nearest metro station is Shyambazar.
2) Kumartuli Park
This is yet another beautiful pandal that has gained popularity over the past few years. The amazing part about this pandal being so famous is that many Durga idols are hand crafted here by professional clay modelers. The theme for the pandal is spectacular as the makers surprise the people with amazing themes. It is also located in North Kolkata and it is closest to Sovabazar metro.
3) College Side
The setup here is beautiful as it is done beside a lake and the entire area is lit with beautiful colors and lights! When you visit there you can also look at the amazing reflection of the lights on the water which gives a beautiful view. This pandal is located at the College street of Kolkata University and MG road and central metro stations are closeby for commuting.
4) Badamtala Ashar Sangha
This is also one of the oldest Durga Pooja grounds that attracts people with his amazing themes that are so colorful and they have been diverse every year! This idol also gives a traditional look maintaining the charm Durga Mata has.
5) Jodhpur Park
The themes in this south side Jodhpur park are pretty amazing and is favored by many people and it is also gives a traditional look. The fabulous part about this idol is that it was made using biodegradable material with a 3D printer that actually gives three dimensional shape to it. The closest station is Dhakuria and it is located in South Kolkata.
