Best Girlfriend is a short film which leaves the ending with a lot of questions in mind. This film is having a thought provoking plot and is featuring the talented actors of TV; Kritika Kamra and Vikrant Massey. The movie is brilliantly directed by Navjot Gulati. The best part of the movie is that it is based on a true incident and that one incident represents the dual faced-ness of an urban relationship.
The movie starts with a couple who are in a live-in relationship. Vikrant Massey is playing the role of Vikrant while Kritika is in the role of Sonali. Both of their parents are aware of their live-in relationship. In fact, Vikrant’s mother is very fond of Kritika and thinks that she is the best girlfriend that her son ever had. Sonali usually travels a lot. She’s been again traveling to Banglore for a business trip when an old friend visits Vikrant. Vikrant’s friend plans to call an escort at Vikrant’s place to enjoy. Initially, Vikrant didn’t like the idea but later, he agrees. The escort agent sends a few escorts’ photos to pick a girl out of them. Vikrant gets shocked after finding his girlfriend’s picture in that stack of escorts’.
The ending of the movie is something which leaves you in a confused state. Sonali gets back from her tour. Even after knowing everything, Vikrant remarked to Sonali, “you are the best girlfriend I’ve ever had.” And, that is how the movie ends, so abruptly.
