I am sure many of you would have watched this film and you would have also loved it. Personally, it is one of my favorite films with such an amazing concept that made the society think about raising awareness and changing their perception. Looks like, the founder of Microsoft too felt that the film has done justice and he was inspired by this film. He is none other than Bill Gates himself who took to social media to express his views.
Apparently, the 62-year old on Tuesday took to his twitter account and wrote some of the “best things that has happened in 2017 “ and he put together a series of events and inspirational stories that happened.
He said, “There’s no denying that 2017 was a really tough year… but it also delivered some amazing moments of hope and progress.”

What’s amusing is that Bill Gates placed Toilet: Ek Prem Katha in the second position of his list out of the seven things that happened around the world. He stated that this love story had conveyed an important message about sanitation challenges in India.
In his tweet he wrote, “3/ “Toilet: A Love Story,” a Bollywood romance about a newlywed couple, educated audiences about India’s sanitation challenge.”

Talking about the film plot, Gates appreciated the fact that, it had educated audiences on the crisis, which sees one in 10 deaths in India linked to poor hygiene.
Released in last August, the movie was one of the biggest hits in the industry. The movie that came at a time when the central government was aggressively going forward with its ‘Swachh Bharat mission’ gave the message of the need to eradicate the problem of open defecation especially in rural India. It narrated the story of a newly-wed couple and the challenges they face in their hometown which does not have any toilets at home.
This film starring Akshay Kumar is his eighth Rs. 100 crore gross amount which made history!
