Biscuit chocolate rolls are dried coconut-cocoa powder mixture that are stuffed into biscuit-cocoa powder dough sheet and rolled, baked. Alternatively, you can also replace coconut with nuts like cashews, almonds, walnuts and hazel-nuts, They taste just as yummy and delicious.
Biscuit Chocolate Roll
Ingredients:
Arrowroot biscuits 10-12
Cocoa powder 2 tablespoon
Powdered sugar 2 tablespoon
Milk 3-4 tablespoon
Desiccated coconut 1 cup
Cocoa powder 3 tablespoon
Powdered sugar 3 tablespoon
Green cardamom powder ½ teaspoon
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Butter 2 tablespoon
Recipe:
1. Take Britannia Thin arrowroot biscuits in a bowl and crush them to a fine powder. Add cocoa powder, sugar and milk and mix well and knead into soft dough.
2. For the filling, put desiccated coconut in a bowl, add cocoa powder, powdered sugar, green cardamom powder, vanilla essence and butter and mix well.
3. Place the dough on worktop which is spread with a cling-film, roll out into a large disc, spread the filling over it and press lightly. Cut out the excess cling film, roll the dough tightly along with the film, and seal the edge to get a cylindrical shape and refrigerate till they are set, for about 3-4 hours.
4. Remove the rolls from the refrigerator, cut it into half inch to inch thick roundels.
5. Discard the cling film and arrange the rolls on a serving plate and serve chilled.
These are perfect for those sudden get-togethers and cocktail parties. They taste delicious and come on, who can say no to anything made up of a chocolate *winks*
