Black Bean Veggie Burger Patties

Quick and easy burger flavoured with chilli sauce and garlic that is sure to awaken your senses and satisfy your hanger which can be whipped up in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients:
Black beans, drained and rinsed
½ green/yellow bell pepper, cut into 2 inch pieces
½ Onion, cut into wedges
3 cloves garlic, peeled
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon Thai chili sauce or hot sauce
1/2 cup bread crumbs or oats

Recipe:
1.Preheat grill and brush little oil on a sheet of aluminum foil. If baking, preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C), and lightly oil a baking sheet.
2.In a bowl, mash boiled black beans until they are thick and pasty and add finely chopped bell peppers, onion, and garlic and mix with mashed beans.
3.In a small bowl, stir chili powder, cumin powder, and chili sauce or any other preferred sauce.
4.Stir this mixture into the mashed beans. Mix with bread crumbs/oats until the mixture is sticky and holds together. Divide mixture into four patties.
5.While grilling, place these patties on the oil brushed aluminum foil, and grill for about 8-10 minutes on each side; and while baking, place patties on baking sheet, and bake about 10-12 minutes on each side.
6.After they are grilled, then whip up the burger as per your preference.
