Black Friday falls the very next day of Thanksgiving. It is the day of humongous sales and discounts, where people go bat-shit crazy on shopping. It is basically a shopping day! Isn’t that a dream come true for all women 😉
Black Friday is not a national holiday per se, but many people do have a day off and use it to make trips to see family or friends. It also marks the day, when one starts Christmas shopping. And it is considered as the busiest shopping day of the year.
As it falls immediately after Thanksgiving, the Black Friday has been the butt of numerous jokes, which defies logic- most common of them being “Only in America, people would trample others for shopping, merely hours after being thankful for whatever they have!”
Also, Black Friday is quickly losing its importance as people start buying stuffs, even before thanksgiving, and stores and discounts are opened even after the black Friday. One of the other primary reason is that the online shopping made the ease of shopping without standing in queues and trampling others.
While, Cyber Monday was “created” in order to help employees shop from the offices, without them having to take a leave for shopping for Christmas. Many people, in order to avoid the rush and traffic and stampede, decide to not shop on Black Friday, and to prevent them for taking leave on Monday from their works, the offices, unblock the e-retailer websites for shopping on this day. And thanks to various deals & discounts that are attractive online, people prefer shopping from the confines of their homes or offices online.
